Friday 4th June, 12pm

Making environmental change a business opportunity.

Event Description

New innovative Solutions for Ballina Business Growth and Profit For Purpose.

We’re delighted to bring our signature Business Networking Lunch and Speaker Series to the Ballina Shire for 2021. Showcasing inspiring and successful business people within our Sourdough Community.

Join us at 12 noon on Friday, June 4th at Beef and Beach in Lennox Head.

Guest Speakers:

Sarah King – Ballina Environmental Society

Sarah will lead the discussion on making environmental change not only a necessity but a business opportunity.

Sarah’s research journey has embraced indigenous thinking and knowledge and she will share how we can identify and implement ways to develop this learning into environmental and sustainable practices within our businesses in the Northern Rivers.

We’ll also discover how we can all save money and resources and reduce waste.

Andy Vidler co founder of the Ballina Innovation and Knowledge Initiative (BIKI) will share with you the ‘BIKI Hosts Program’, a new initiative where established local businesses host early-stage businesses in their premises and provide support to help that business grow.

Join us for drinks on arrival and a two course meal while networking with other local businesses and hearing first hand from inspiring entrepreneurs living in our region.

Ticket price includes a drink on arrival and a 2 course lunch.

About Andy Vidler.

Andy’s initial exposure to business started at the age of 23, when he started operating his own suburban newsagency. The 3am starts and the onset of a then new thing named the ‘World Wide Web’ made him reconsider a lifelong career as a newsagent, and sparked an ongoing interest in the contrast between ‘sunset’ and ‘sunrise’ industries. He has since gone on to gain experience in a variety of sectors, including finance, investment banking, public sector, technology firms and professional services.

Andy has a strong interest in the transformative nature of technology on business. He currently has interests in several businesses (management consulting, advanced manufacturing, IT services and education, cryptocurrency) as well as being co-founder of the Ballina Innovation and Knowledge Initiative (BIKI) focused on economic development in the Northern Rivers.
