Anne Briggs

Committee member

Anne is a generalist marketing professional with a career that spans over 25 years.  Anne has worked in various marketing & communication roles over the years for food, health, horticulture and business services organisations. She moved to the Northern Rivers about fifteen years ago and is passionate about sustainable food & horticulture for our region. Her current role is Executive Officer for Northern Rivers Food (NRF), a local not for profit member based food group, which aims to connect people in the local food & beverage industry by providing regular events, workshops & networking opportunities.  Anne lives in Eltham on a small farm in with her husband, two psycho ginger cats,  a flock of ‘Marys’ (chickens) and a productive orchard that grows pretty much everything!

Jacqui Burnside

Committee member

Jacquie Burnside comes to the Northern Rivers with over 20 years working as a professional in the travel industry including several senior management and leadership roles backed by marketing and post-graduate business qualifications.

She bided her time to find the perfect role as Industry Engagement Manager with Destination North Coast, before making the move and settling in the beautiful hinterland of Lismore.

A keen traveller, foodie and hiker, she loves nothing better than combining all three!

Kyla White

Committee member

Kyla is a locally focused social change maker. She’s passionate about sustainability, regeneration, building resilience, and the permaculture principles: people care, earth care, and fair share.

She current works in community impact for a community foundation tackling challenging social and environmental problems in the gorgeous Northern Rivers region in NSW. She’s spent time as a small-scale farmer, growing resilience in communities by building food security, skills and connection. And has a lifetime of retail marketing under her belt.

She's systems driven, but pulled by the heart strings, and firmly believes that we all have a role to play in leaving our planet in better shape.

Kate Alexander

Committee member

Kate's passion for business ignited with the opening of her first business at age 16.  By 20, she was the youngest Project Manager of Marketing and Communications for Sydney Water.  Since then, Kate has started five businesses in various industries.  She holds a degree in Business and a Diploma in Leadership and Management.

Kate has devoted the past 10 years to coaching and mentoring people with health conditions to thrive in their life and their businesses by creating experiences to think outside the box. With the mantra 'There is always a way', Kate works with business owners to create personalised business strategies that work with their unique strengths and abilities.

Karin Braunstein

Committee member

Karin Braunstein is a Relationship Executive for Commonwealth Bank and enjoys supporting a mixture of local commercial and agri clients located in the NSW North Coast area.

She was born in Zimbabwe and immigrated to NZ at the age of 11 with a final move to Australia in 2006. Karin finished high school in regional Victoria and went on to qualify with a Bachelor of Marketing Communications & Bachelor of Business Honours at the University of South Australia.

Karin spent 5 yrs working in various marketing and web design roles and commenced a banking position in Adelaide for 2 yrs prior to shifting up to the Far North Coast in 2019.
She has a strong passion for agri as her family are local macadamia growers within the region.

She is excited to be a part of the SBW Lismore crew to meet and learn off like minded individuals as well as help provide effective support to our people & region.

Dee Cameron

Committee member

Dee Cameron is a creative producer with a lengthy career in large scale corporate events; production of screen content and factual documentary production. Prior to COVID 19 she spent her time working away delivering special projects and returning home to the Northern Rivers where she has lived for the past decade.

Dee is interested in developing a network closer to home and to explore fresh creative projects. She brings a wealth of experience with her. She has successfully freelanced; run her own production company; run other people’s companies and nurtured creative project teams along the way. Dee is keen to discover what’s possible.

Anita Cohen

Committee member

Anita has worked in business advisory for over 20 years, during which time she has dedicated herself to using her expertise in the mechanics of good financial and business management to provide her clients with advice to significantly improve their business.

She has worked with Family Office Clients and Family Businesses throughout her career and her experience working with these clients has imbued her with a robust understanding of the unique issues they face, as well as the knowledge to help them succeed.

Driven by her determination to help clients achieve their goals, Anita aims to deliver tailored, practical solutions which make a genuine difference to her client’s success. By listening and engaging with clients at an individual level she builds solid long-term relationships that help her to deliver bespoke advice to ensure their tax and commercial outcomes are optimised.

Anita is also passionate about Women in Business and is an advocate of both Women Entrepreneurs and Professional Women looking for a supportive and collaborative community in which to grow.

Katrina Beohm

Committee member

Katrina commenced her local real estate career in 2000. In 2011 she established an agency in Lismore and has since opened agencies in Byron Bay and Ballina. Over the years, Katrina's performance has been recognised nationally in the industry, including the highest number of sales and listings and the wellness advocate. In 2012 she was locally awarded Best New Business. But her highest industry achievement was in 2022, when Fair Trading complimented her business systems and recommended she become a registered training office.

Alongside real estate, Katrina enjoys being a mum, playing golf, knitting and her horses.

Katrina contributes her success to the support from her family and community. She is part of the Sourdough Business Women to support others in their life journey.
