Enova Energy is a new electricity retailer providing the opportunity for participation in building Australia’s first community-owned renewable energy retailing and installation business. Enova Energy is being formed as a social enterprise by local residents of the Northern Rivers region to deliver environmental and community benefits as well as making returns to community investors.
Enova Energy is committed to ensuring it is majority-owned by the community (as shareholders). Enova Energy will provide community benefits through direct employment and flow on jobs in many areas of the community.
Sourdough Business Pathways has assisted Enova by facilitating an accelerator session with their board and senior management. This session was attended by six senior members of our asset group and focused on the promotion and marketing of the Enova offering. We subsequently organised information sessions with high net worth individuals who were interested in the venture. In addition we arranged some media coverage and provided video presentations by key Sourdough members for promotion on their website. Enova have established their funding targets and will be commencing operations in line with expectations in 2016.
Enova Energy Founders, Alison Crook , Steve Harris, Melissa Mac Court, Patrick Halliday are to be congratulated for this visionary project. Sourdough Business Pathways is proud to have been involved by providing our encouragement and support.
