The Sourdough MentoringLive Q&A Series is where you get a chance to ask questions of our experienced Sourdough Mentors in an interactive online session, as well as hear about and connect with other local businesses from our community.

Following on from our Innovation Hub Workshop on ‘How to effectively engage your customers online’, this Session will focus on answering your questions and providing guidance on ‘Customers & Marketing’ around questions such as:

  • who your customers are or how to identify how they have changed,
  • how to build a marketing strategy,
  • how you might be able to utilise your marketing channels more effectively, or
  • whether you should be targeting a different customer niche

This is a community workshop so no need to be a registered active mentee to participate.

This will be an online session via Zoom.

To help us all to help you, you will have the ability to share a little about your business when you register below, as well as pre-register any questions you may have for the Mentors in this Session.

Session structure:

  • Mentor introductions & Insights sharing
  • Breakout rooms: Mentees have the opportunity to share a brief overview of their business and ask questions of Mentors
  • Conclude.

Kylie Mowbray-Allen – Bio

Kylie has over 20 years experience in all forms of media & marketing; TV, Film, Print & Digital Advertising, Journalism, Copy & Content Writing, Branding, Graphic & Website Creation, Ecommerce Coaching & Mentoring. In early 2019 she successfully sold her Ecommerce business, Rainbows and Clover after nine years at the helm, so she can focus on her creation Hello Media, a dedicated digital agency for start-ups and small-medium sized businesses where they find support, guidance, mentoring and a whole lot of practical business know-how mixed with creative solutions.

Don Récsei – Bio

Donald comes from an evolved and varied marketing background. Experience covers success in senior roles with large corporates plus having consulted to startup and growing businesses.

Focus has been consumer goods initially in pharmaceutical industry marketing with brand leading products. (Warner Lambert), Black & Decker Hardware (Director Sales & Marketing), Demtel TV Marketing (GM), Thomas Cook Direct GM (Pioneered set-up), Byron Farmers Market (Market Manager), and currently Actionman Consulting (marketing consulting business based in Byron Bay).

Moni Jowsey – Bio

Ms Monique Jowsey resident of Byron since 1999 has a scope of skills that can assist in leaning forward into new and unknown territory. Creating a business traction for customers to feel the appeal of what you provide through a marketing plan that harnesses loyalty and relationship building. Moni can offer guidance in terms of getting specific about how to place a loss leader, how a business model can profit from this style of pitch and how to find the sweet spot in your marketing plan that has your life purpose as a foundation. This attitude applies to all goods and services so lets get our knees dirty and find the stepping stones to success for the Byron Shire business community.

Margot Cairns – Bio
