SBW March Hub – Exploring Self Leadership in Business

Wednesday 22nd March

5.00pm start  ꟾ  7.00pm finish

Lennox Head Surf Life Saving Club
Pacific Parade, Lennox Head NSW

“Self Leadership is critical to sustainable success for women in business and life.”  Prue Blennerhassett

This isn’t just some trending term in corporate land, it’s applicable and transferrable to self employment too. How do we show up when there is no boss or accountability? How do we lead ourselves through rough patches? Well, this all comes down to self leadership.

Prue Blennerhassett and Mel Campbell come to self leadership from different angles and perspectives, but one thing they both agree on is that it’s all about ‘being’ over ‘doing’.

Mel is experienced in ‘people’. She has spent many years in HR and working in various organisations in roles that focused on the people in the business. She has seen how authentic, people focused leaders consistently achieve better results than their task focused counterparts. Mel fundamentally believes contented, challenged and empowered people thrive, and contribute to a great workplaces.

Prue has a background in business, banking and finance.  She moved to Byron 13 years ago to escape the hustle and grind of the corporate world, only to discover that in creating her own business, she hadn’t changed her way of working and quickly ended up burned out. Prue has spent the last decade undoing all that hustle mentality and has created a business that not only serves others, but also herself and her family (baby, on the way).

Join us as we discover some practical tools to help us better understand ourselves so that we can show up to our work authentically and effectively. We’ll cover:

  • The keys to ‘being’, rather than ‘doing’
  • Why self-responsibility is the key to self leadership
  • Your personal leadership style
  • How emotional mastery impacts our ability to ‘stay in the game’ of business, life and relationships.

This hub is for you if you want to better understand the concept of self leadership, and get an insight into how you best show up in the world.
